Israeli troops terrorize a wedding in the Israeli-Arab city of Tayibe [Original post] Watch | Israeli occupation forces fire stun grenades at Palestinians during their raid on a wedding in the city of Taibe in occupied Palestine. [Tags: Stun Grenade, Raid, Terror] [Found by: Quds News Network] [Location: 48 Palestine > Tayibe] [Archivist Notes] This is not the town of Tabiyeh near Ramallah in occupied terrories, but the town of Tayibe, within internationally recognised Israeli borders. Everyone in this video has an Israeli passport. It was an Israeli - "Arab" wedding. The population of Tayibe , one of the largest and most developed Arab localities in Israel, is made up of 20 extended families, all Muslim who are often victims of apartheid, discrimination and unfair and racist operation, like this incident. On February 14, during a wedding in Tayibe, celebratory gunfire—a common but illegal practice in the area—resulted in a confrontation with police. The Border Guard and Tactical Brigade intervened brutally with stun grenade, terrorizing everybody. They arrested three, seizing five pistols and an M-16 rifle. The following day, the groom, an 18-year-old, was also detained for questioning for allegedly failing to prevent the shooting and for suspected drug-related offenses. The Israeli authorities are considering extending his detention based on the investigation’s findings. This operation was led by Border Police tactical brigade operatives from the Israel Border Police and Yasam - Israel Police Special Patrol Unit, along with Central District detectives.

This will have long-lasting effects on Gaza's 90,000 students and the region's educational future. Below are the universities affected: 1. Islamic University of Gaza Founded in 1978, over 17,000 students as of 2023 Destruction : Destroyed on 10 October ; accused by Israel of producing weapons without any evidence. Previously hit in 2008-2009 and 2014. Major Asaf Fred, who was later in Rafah & a commander in IDF’s 460 Brigade, admits to the destruction of IUG university in Gaza, a court & Rimal neighborhood without any military objectives . He also called for the destruction of Amalekite cities + “‘no good arabs” On December 19 he posts a long Genocidal justification. Excerpt : “Yes, this is how you destroy an enemy: Not only by killing its soldiers but also by destroying its symbols…..The destruction of the enemy's national symbols is a clear declaration that the games are over, and we want to win." On March 1, he shares a satellite imagery of Younis: “Amazing! This is how it should be done to all the Amalekite cities. (Khan Yunis, during the IDF maneuver)” In November 5, 2024, some remaining buildings of this University were used as military base by Israeli troops. "My alma mater @IUGAZA med school is now a military point in the middle of Gaza. This IOF soldier is bragging about intentionally causing a delay in the start of the academic year because of occupying it and destroying its teaching hospital!" writes on X @OsaidesserMD Palestinian Academic global surgeon 2.Al-Azhar University Founded in 1991 during the First Intifada, 17,000 students and 12 faculties at its peak. Mohammad Samy Elwan has more from Ramallah [Tags: Vehicles, Small Arms, Blocking Ambulances, Forced Displacement, Prevent Births, Siege, Summary execution] [Found by: TRT] [Location: West Bank > Tulkarm > Nur Shams] [Archivist Notes] On February 9, 2025, during the first day fo their massive raid in Nur Shamas RC, Israeli soldiers killed 2 young women, one of them were 8 months pregnant. The incidents took place in Nur Shams camp near Tulkarem, as part of an ongoing Israeli military large-scale operation of invasion and forced displacement of the populations in the northern West Bank, where military operation began about 14 days ago. The operation involved widespread destruction of public and private property, assaults, kidnappings of local residents, and forced displacement of families from their homes. On Sunday morning , the Israeli military deployed massive forces, including armored vehicles, heavy bulldozers, and drones, to raid Nur Shams camp. Gunfire and explosions were heard during the raid. Israeli forces began raiding homes, opening fire, kidnapping citizens, and flying drones over the camp. They also imposed a tight siege on the camp. Forced Displacement: Israeli forces seized residential buildings in various areas, including Dhanabah, Iktaba, and as-Salam neighborhood, and forced families to leave these areas on foot after confiscating their cars. Families were also forced at gunpoint to leave Jabel an-Nasser and Jabel as-Salihin neighborhoods , walking to Kafr al-Labad town. After displacing the residents, the Israeli military used the vacated buildings and areas as military posts and sniper sites. The Red Crescent in Tulkarem reported that Israeli forces prevented ambulance crews from entering Nur Shams camp, despite information about Palestinian casualties. A)Sundus Jamal Shalabi On February 9, 23-year-old Sundus Jamal Shalabi, eight months pregnant, was killed and her husband critically injured by Israeli forces in the Nour Shams refugee camp near Tulkarm. They were forcibly displaced during the Israeli assault, and while escaping at dawn, they were targeted with gunfire. The couple was delayed in receiving medical help, with Israeli forces preventing Red Crescent teams from reaching them. After a prolonged delay, they were transported to Thabet Thabet Hospital, only to be stopped again by Israeli forces for half an hour. Sundus and her unborn baby were pronounced dead, while her husband remains in critical condition. According to an article posted in Haaretz on Feb. 10, 2025. Sundus Shalabi, 23 years old and 8 months pregnant, was killed when she got out of the car and "looked suspiciously at the ground" after the IDF had killed her husband when they were stopped at an Israeli checkpoint. B) Rahaf Foad al-Ashqar On 9 February, before midday, a 21-year-old Palestinian girl, Rahaf Foad al-Ashqar, was killed by Israeli forces according to the Ministry of Health. According to Haaretz, Palestinian Rahaf al-Ashqar,21, was killed by a bomb planted by the Jews occupation army at the door of her family's home, killing her instantly. The Israeli did not warn the building's residents to evacuate before booby-trapping its entrance. . C) Eyas Al Akhras This young Palestinian was killed during gunfire exchange with the Israeli occupation forces. Injuries: -PRCS stated that its teams in Tulkarem received a 14-year-old child who was injured by the military’s gunfire in Nur Shams, as well as the child’s father, who sustained a gunshot wound to the foot. Engagement rules modified in IDF According to Haaretz, in an article published on February 10, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Central Command has reportedly expanded its open-fire orders in the West Bank, leading to a high number of Palestinian civilian deaths , according to Israeli army sources. The IDF has denied any official change, claiming that senior officers in the Central Command implemented new tactics. The expanded orders allow soldiers to shoot anyone suspected of planting explosives, leading to increased use of lethal force. These orders have reportedly made soldiers "trigger-happy" and resulted in these tragic incidents, including the deaths of a pregnant woman and a child, as well as other civilians. Critics argue that these new rules resemble tactics used in Gaza, contributing to heightened violence in the West Bank. The IDF maintains that its actions are targeted at combatants, but many of the casualties have been non-combatants. Investigations into these deaths are ongoing.

Despite challenges, the teams successfully reached his home, found him in stable condition, and evacuated him to safety. This operation highlights the ongoing dedication and resilience of the Red Crescent teams in providing vital care during difficult circumstances. Reporting: Obada Tahayne Filmed: 06/02/2025 Donate/Watch/Share elsewhere👇 [Tags: Hospitals, Blocking Ambulances, Palestine Voices, Elderly, Siege] [Found by: TVFreePalestine, Obada Tahayna | عبادة طحاينة] [Location: West Bank > Jenin] [Archivist Notes] Jenin Hospital has been under siege since January 22. On January 21, Israel killed at least 10 Palestinians and left more than 35 wounded in a large-scale operation ("Iron Wall") in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. “Iron Wall,” operation includes IDF troops, Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) officers and Border Police, according to the Israeli military. Name of the victims Dr. Nader Irsheid, Dr. Khaled Zakarneh, Dr. Abdullah Al-Thaher, nurse Muhammad Amarneh, and nurse Ashraf Alauna were injured in different locations, near Jenin Governmental Hospital, Al-Amal Hospital, and Al-Razi Hospital. 1. Jenin Governmental Hospital: More than 600 displaced individuals sought refuge, with the hospital surrounded by military forces and cut off from food for an entire day. Despite attempts to coordinate food delivery, the Israeli military blocked it. Director Wissam Bakr reported that bulldozers made it difficult for medical teams to enter or exit the hospital. Bakr described the situation as tragic, fearing an assault or shooting by the Israeli army. During the night, Israeli forces bulldozed the road outside the Jenin Governmental Hospital, effectively blocking access to the hospital for ambulances. On the morning of January 22, a Roya journalist reported that Israeli forces requested Palestinians evacuate the Jenin Government Hospital and gave patients eight hours to leave. They ordered citizens to walk on foot through a security corridor to the Al-Awda Roundabout, where everyone would be thoroughly inspected. They evicted the Jenin Governmental Hospital. The patients were seen walking on foot, using the bulldozed street before the deadline passed. According to Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP), medics claimed that "minimal staff are inside and they are not allowed to leave." "No supplies, not even basic items like bread, are permitted to enter. Meanwhile, the rest of the hospital staff outside are being prevented from reaching the facility." At the end of the morning, a group of Palestinians were arrested by Israeli forces in front of the entrance. The loud noise of military vehicles and bulldozers, combined with threats over loudspeakers, made the residents fear the hospital could face the same fate as those destroyed by Israeli forces in Gaza. 2. Al-Amal Hospital: The siege was more violent, with soldiers firing indiscriminately into the courtyard, wounding at least three doctors and two hospital workers. The situation was chaotic, with gunfire heard throughout the hospital grounds. A nurse was shot behind the hospital and left bleeding until rescued by a paramedic. The hospital remains under strict siege, with only one ambulance allowed in or out, constantly inspected. Food delivery is only possible through this ambulance, with its staff under constant threat. 3. Al-Razi Hospital & Palestinian Authorities Collaboration Coinciding with the Israeli occupation's aggression, the PA's security forces, affiliated with the Fatah movement (PLO), arrested a wounded young man after besieging and storming the Al-Razi Hospital in Jenin. They also shot a young man in the head. The Director of Al-Razi Hospital in Jenin to Al Jazeera: There are two serious injuries by occupation bullets after clashes in front of the hospital. Security forces affiliated with the Authority stormed the patients' section of the hospital after gunfire. PA security forces stormed the hospital, arresting a wounded man believed to be a member of the Jenin Battalion and wanted by the Israeli army. This marked the first time Palestinian forces publicly participated in an Israeli military assault in the West Bank. Context : Israeli occupation forces have intensified their deadly raid in Jenin, in the occupied West Bank, destroying infrastructure, displacing around 2,000 families, and forcing the evacuation of the public hospital under direct threat. January 23: evacuation of Jenin Hospitals continues lsraeli forces continue to evict Palestinians from the vicinity of Jenin Camp, including patients in Jenin Governmental Hospital. Janurary 24 : The infrastructure destruction around the Jenin Governement Hospital continues. The roads and the building are so deeply destructuct that the ambulances cannot reach the entrance of the hospital. On January 25: Deputy Spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the United Nations : “Reports indicate that Jenin Governmental Hospital is still without water & electricity, due to the Israeli aggression.” “Reports indicate difficulty in reaching Jenin Governmental Hospital due to damaged roads.” On January 26: Israeli occupation forces also continue to block access to the Jenin Government Hospital, hindering the entry and exit of civilians. On January 28-29: The occupation forces continue to obstruct the work of ambulance crews in the city of Jenin, as they detained ambulances during the night in the industrial zone, the Post Street area, and the main roundabout. They also tighten their entry and exit to the Jenin Governmental Hospital, and check the identities of paramedics. A woman and her son, attempting to reach Jenin Government Hospital, were forced to leave their car, searched, and prevented from reaching the hospital. The woman fainted. This incident is an indication of the consequences faced by the people of Jenin due to health access obstruction. Statement of UN human rights office Thameen al-Kheetan, of the UN human rights office, called Israeli tactics in Jenin “deadly operations”, after Israel targeted a refugee camp in the centre of the city and besieged a nearby hospital : “We are deeply concerned by the use of unlawful lethal force in Jenin, in the occupied West Bank,” he said on Friday, criticising “methods and means developed for war fighting, in violation of human rights law … this includes multiple airstrikes and apparently random shooting at unarmed residents attempting to flee or find safety.”

[Tags: Prisoner Abuse, Raid, Blindfold, Agriculture, Living conditions, Terror, Land theft] [Found by: Masafering] [Location: West Bank > Masafer Yatta > Al Dhahriya] [Archivist Notes] Yesterday, boys from the village of Wadi Tiran were grazing their sheep near the town of Al Dhahriya, when masked settlers arrived in a tractor and a civilian car. The settlers, one of whom was wearing a uniform, called one of the Palestinians, searched him, confiscated his cell phone, blindfolded him, tied his hands, and loaded him into the vehicle. According to his testimony, the vehicle was stopped and he was taken out of it. For about an hour he sat with his eyes covered and his hands tied - during which he heard the settlers eating and laughing at him. The settlers accused him of grazing sheep on a plot of land they had sown - private Palestinian land. The family of the young man who was kidnapped grew wheat on the plot for years, until this year Elyashiv Nahum, the settler from Havat Yehuda, plowed the plot in order to take control of it. According to testimonies from the village residents, the vehicle that kidnapped the shepherd entered Elyashiv's outpost. After the settlers finished eating, they put the shepherd back in the car and took him to an unknown location - where, according to his testimony, they took him out of the car and told him to walk, but did not warn him that there was a staircase and allowed him to fall. They put him back in the car and dropped him off at an intersection several kilometers from his home.

Israeli soldiers confined family at home for days, using it as a military base [Original post] Palestinian families in Tulkarem city endured an eight-day siege by the Israeli occupation army who hold them hostage, confining them to their homes without access to food, water, or freedom of movement. The military incursion involved demolishing homes and detaining residents. Tulkarem, located in the northern occupied West Bank, hosts the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, collectively housing over 40,000 Palestinian refugees. Surrounded by five illegal Israeli settlements and an Israeli military checkpoint at the city's entrance, residents have long faced limited healthcare services and movement restrictions. Recent military operations have led to significant displacement, with reports indicating that approximately 75% of Tulkarem's population has been forcibly displaced by the Israeli occupation. Dr. Al-Sultan talks about the staff's return to the hospital and their efforts to clean and rehabilitate the facility, noting that the most impacted areas were the maintenance department, power generators, oxygen and desalination stations all of which are key to the functioning of the hospital. The staff managed to restore operations at the emergency department despite the continued lack of proper equipment whose entry to Gaza is restricted. Dr. Al-Sultan states that the Indoensian Hospital is currently the only [relatively operational] hospital in North Gaza after the IDF burned down and destroyed Kamal Adwan Hospital. He estimates that most, if not all, services at the hospital would be restored within two weeks, provided they manage to get oxygen stations, otherwise they would be forced to salvage it from Kamal Adwan Hospital. Islam Badr closes the reports by commenting on Noora Al-kaabi Hospital, in the vicinity, who has also been destroyted and rendered out fo service by the IDF.

· TikTok Genocide (tiktokgenocide.com)

Night pogrom at Susiya [Original post] I’m surrounded now by armed and masked settlers, who are leading a terror attack on Masafer Yatta as I write. Dozens of settlers arrived to friend Naser’s house in Susya, throwing stones at his home, smashing his vehicle, and slashing tires with knive. [Tags: Soldiers and Settlers, Pogrom, Agriculture, Living conditions, Impunity, Property, Land theft] [Found by: Basel Adra] [Location: West Bank > Masafer Yatta > Susiya] [Archivist Notes] Historical context Since the Oslo Accords , the West Bank has been divided into three zones: zone A, theoretically under total control of the Palestinian Authority, zone B, under Palestinian administrative and Israeli security control, and zone C, totally controlled by the Israeli authorities , which corresponds to 60% of the occupied territory and where the illegal settlements under international law are located The village of Susya, a village in the Masafer Yatta region, is in zone C, very affected by occupation and colonization. Not far from the town, the Israeli army seized 3,000 hectares of land to make it a “restricted military zone”, called “918 firing zone” , where the movement of Palestinians is limited. And above all, the village adjoins an Israeli setttelment, also called Susya, established since 1983 by settlers with radical ideology. Although the Palestinian presence in Susya has been established since the beginning of the 19th century, the town is not recognized by the State of Israel. Since the 1980s, the village has been destroyed seven times. The last demolition dates from 2014. Three houses were razed. Each time, the residents rebuild, they don't want to leave. In 2012, the village first applied to enter the Israeli-administered master plan , which allows West Bank localities to be recognized for avoiding demolition and being connected to water and electricity networks After two refusals, Susya launched a third request. In Susya, 300 Palestinians live in makeshift and precarious settlements. Building real houses leads to their destruction by the Israeli army. On the roofs of houses, residents installed tarpaulins to hide from Israeli drones. As Susya is not recognized by Israel, residents are prohibited from building new facilities. But families are growing. The size of the area designated for declaration is the largest since the Oslo Accords, and the year 2024 marks a peak in the extent of declarations of state land . Since the beginning of 2024, Israel has declared 23,700 dunams of the West Bank as State Lands. Recurrent events Palestinian villagers face increasing violence and threats of expulsion from radical Israeli settlers and the Israeli army. Activists from Jewish Voice for Peace , documenting the incidents, report daily provocations by settlers who damage Palestinian farmlands by bringing their sheep to graze on them. Villages like Susya and At-Tuwani are heavily impacted. Despite being officially recognized by Israel, At-Tuwani's residents suffer attacks by settlers from nearby Israeli colonies. These attacks, including an incident where a local man, Zakaria Adra, was shot by a settler without any intervention by Israeli soldiers, are common. UN has reported that the growing settler violence and expansion could amount to war crimes Consequences on the safety and livelihoods of Palestinians Farmers Crops destroyed by settlers, further worsening economic hardships. Despite reporting these incidents to Israeli authorities, there is little hope for justice. The situation has left the community feeling isolated, constantly under threat, and forced to patrol their lands to defend against further settler aggression. Despite the pressure, some villagers remain determined not to leave their land. Chronology Since October 7 , 2023, Israeli army restrictions and settler violence have increased south of Hebron, in the Masafer Yatta region of the West Bank. Palestinians are fighting to preserve their right to stay on their land. On October 16 , 2023, Settlers attack Susya, block all its entrances with bulldozers, and destroy two water wells, fences, and areas planted with trees. On October 20, 2023, two weeks after the start of the war, the Israeli army closed access to my village, Susya, with huge blocks of stone. It has become inaccessible for those who have a small car. On October 29 , 2023, settlers issued an ultimatum that if the villagers of Susya do not vacate in 24 hours they will return to kill residents. On February 3, 2024, Israeli forces beat a young Palestinian man and arrested him while he was with his family on their land near the village of Susya in Masafer Yatta. On March 17 , 2024, Israeli extremists settlers attacked residents of Susya village. As well several shepherds has been chased by settlers in Massafer Yatta Israeli soliders confiscated a tractor for a farmer in Sheap al-Botom village. On April 2 , 2024 : two different attacks in two different places. Israeli settlers attacked and harassed Palestinian shepherd and the international activists in susya an Al_Asayfer villages, adn injuring a young man. On May 23 , 2024, activists staying with a threatened family discovered a fire in a nearby field started by a Molotov cocktail. The day before, Shem Tov Luski , from the "Susya Kaduma" outpost, visited the village with a young boy who threatened to kill a local resident. Although police were called to investigate, the responding officer, a settler from a nearby community, asked a few questions and quickly left without taking further action. On July 4 , 2024,The Higher Planning Council (HPC) approved today and yesterday (3-4/7/24) the advancement of 5,255 housing units in dozens of settlements throughout the West Bank. The building plans include the expansion of settlements deep within the West Bank and the legalization of three outposts : Mahane Gadi, Givat Hanan (Susya East) , and Kedem Arava as “neighborhoods” of existing settlements. Israeli Minister Strook described these months as 'like a time of miracles' in a recent recording where she spoke to Givat Hanan settlement residents near Susya about the increased construction in the occupied West Bank. Givat Hanan (Susya East) (Plan 513/5) – The approval of the plan for the deposit of 107 housing units in the Susya settlement is actually intended to legalize the Givat Hanan outpost, which was illegally established in 2019 . The outpost is located across an intercity road, disconnected from the Susya settlement. However, to avoid the need to declare a new settlement, it was decided to consider it a “neighborhood” of Susya and plan the construction of a bridge over intercity Road 317 to connect the two settlements. On Augustus 4 , 2024, masked Israeli settlers attacked foreign activists who were accompanying Palestinian farmers. On September 13 Israeli soldiers invaded the village of Tuwani. They entered a private yard where, according to the settlers and some questionable archaeologists, remnants of an ancient synagogue are said to be located. The soldiers then walked through the village with their weapons raised, frightening the residents. Using archaeology as a pretext for dispossession and expulsion is a well-known Zionist practice. Just earlier the same day, it was reported that the army is using claims of archaeological findings in Zanuta to prevent people from rebuilding their homes, thus preventing them from living on their land. Residents of the nearby village of Susya were also expelled from their original homes in the 1980s using similar manipulations On October 18 , 2024, During the olives harvest, a violent clash occurs where the settelers injured one farmer and one activist, under the protection of the IDF soldiers. Palestinian grandfather describes the moment Israeli soldiers shot Leila Al-Khatib 2 y/o [Original post] Palestinian grandfather describes the moment Israeli soldiers shot his two-year-old granddaughter near Jenin. Video by @OrenZiv_ [Tags: Homes, Small Arms, Raid, Wounded, Shrapnel, Baby, Children, Siege, Summary execution] [Found by: +972mag, @OrenZiv_] [Location: West Bank > Qabatiya > Martyr's Triangle] [Archivist Notes] The Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), reports that a two-year-old girl has been shot in the head during an Israeli raid on Muthalath Ash-Shuhada/ Martyr's Triangle, a village south of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. According to her family, they were eating dinner at home when the gunfire started. It was around 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, and Israeli soldiers had entered their village of Muthalath Al-Shuhada, located near Jenin in the occupied West Bank. Suddenly Israeli sniper lasers appeared inside the house, and bullets were suddenly fired directly at them. She was her mother’s only child, as her father had passed away when she was still an infant. The PRCS is reported to have added that its crews had transferred the injured child to a hospital for treatment. Around 22:20, Palestinian Ministry of Health : "The child Laila Al-Khatib (two and a half years old) died of critical wounds after being shot in the head by the occupation forces in the Martyrs' Triangle in Jenin." Testimony of Bassam Assous, the Leila grand-father: source “The windows and shutters were closed — we had no idea what was going on outside until we heard shooting very close by,” Assous and his wife, Ghada, quickly moved away from the windows, while their two daughters, Shaimaa and Teema (the Leila's mother), hid in a bedroom with Teema’s 2-year-old daughter, Laila. Suddenly, Assous heard his daughters screaming. “I rushed to the bedroom with my wife; Shaimaa was holding Laila tightly, while Teema was screaming next to them,” he recounted. “I took hold of Laila, and my hands quickly became covered in blood. It was coming from her head — she had been hit with a bullet.” Carrying his granddaughter, bleeding and unconscious, Assous ran outside to the street only to find that it was full of Israeli soldiers and armored vehicles. “My wife screamed, ‘Why did you kill the girl? What did she do to you?’” he continued. “One of the soldiers, standing some distance away, responded, ‘Sorry.’ “I shouted back, ‘Why did you shoot her?’” Assous went on. “The soldiers pointed their weapons at me and told me not to come closer. My wife kept screaming, and one of the soldiers pointed to a spot 100 meters away and told her, ‘Go over there and wait for an ambulance.’” When the ambulance arrived, Ghada got in with Laila. Shaimaa, who had sustained shrapnel wounds from the shooting in her jaw and side, and Teema, who had shrapnel wounds in her right hand, also needed treatment. “I told the soldiers I wanted to go with my daughters, but they said, ‘No, you will come with us,’” Assous added. “The soldiers took me to my uncle’s house, where they had already detained four of his sons while my uncle and the rest of the family sat nearby,” he recounted. “I had no idea what was happening with my wife and daughters — we weren’t allowed to use our phones or even speak. When I insisted on calling, a soldier threatened to handcuff me. I remained detained like this until around 11:30 p.m. when the soldiers withdrew from the area. They didn’t arrest anyone or confiscate anything. “After the soldiers left, neighbors came to check on us,” Assous went on. “That’s when I learned that Leila had passed away, as they began offering their condolences. I was in shock, but I quickly realized I had to appear strong for my daughter Teema, who broke down in tears and couldn’t comprehend the loss of her child. I took her to a nearby medical center, where she was given sedatives.” Assous explained that Teema — who is a master’s student at An-Najah University in Nablus, specializing in environmental and water engineering — had already lost her husband, Mohammad Al-Khatib, two years ago in a workplace accident. “She had been struggling with the trauma of losing her husband, so I brought her and her daughter to live with us at home,” he explained. “She used to say, ‘I just want to raise my daughter and take care of her.’ Now, she keeps asking me, ‘Why did they kill my daughter? What did this little child do to deserve this?’” Israeli Army statement In response to +972’s inquiry, a spokesperson for the Israeli army said it “regrets any harm caused to uninvolved civilians,” and claimed it had received intelligence about terrorists barricading themselves inside a building in the village. According to the spokesperson, soldiers warned everyone inside “multiple times” to exit before opening fire. Assous denied hearing any such warning. Context : Israeli special Israeli occupying forces barged their way into the village and besieged a house, earlier in the evening. They deployed snipers around the house and ordered the occupants to come out via loudspeakers, triggering confrontations. A woman sustained an injury to the hand from live ammunition fired by Israeli soldiers. She also was injured in the head by bullet shrapnel. The UNRWA failed and continues to fail its mission in northern Gaza [Original post] What UNRWA did at the beginning of the war by moving south and abandoning the north and Gaza City was a grave mistake, as it succumbed to Netanyahu’s and the occupation’s orders despite having a UN mandate to fulfill its duty toward the Palestinian people. UNRWA should have immediately returned as more than half a million displaced people moved back from the south. How can a UN agency with an official mandate wait for Netanyahu’s approval to carry out its duty toward over half a million people now sleeping in the open? [Tags: Humanitarian Aid, Doctors & Volunteers] [Found by: Khaled Yousry, Al Jazeera] [Location: Gaza]
