15 y/o Palestinian describes terrible conditions inside Israeli prison [Original post] 15-year-old child prisoner Assem Abu Al-Hassan, from Yamoun near Jenin, was arrested by Israeli forces on October 11, 2023, after a brief chase that left him unconscious and injured. A military jeep rammed his motorcycle, causing bruises and wounds before soldiers detained him. Assem was then taken to Megiddo Prison, a high-security facility. He describes the prison as a "graveyard" plagued by diseases, overcrowding, and a lack of basic needs like food, medicine, and blankets. Inmates suffer from untreated ailments, forcing them to resort to self-inflicted methods to relieve infections, with scabies and other diseases spreading rampantly. The organizations argued that the emergency policy in this matter has been established contrary to the Prison Ordinance, and causes severe and ongoing harm to the health and minimal living conditions of the prisoners, which the State in obligated to provide. In the petition, the organizations address the prolonged denial of the prisoners’ right to talk with their attorneys, the hours-long disconnection of electricity and water supplies, the denial of access to medical treatment and more; this, alongside reports of severe violence. The organizations stated that this policy which amounts to cruel punishment, has been implemented with complete lack of transparency, pursuant to orders issued in obscurity, without making public the aims and contents of this policy. In the petition, the organizations claimed that protection of prisoners’ rights and the prevention of arbitrary denial of rights, also and especially in times of war, is a vital condition for the preservation of a civilized society, which also protects the rights of those who have transgressed against it. Source On November 23, 2023, the High Court of Justice dismissed a petition by HaMoked and human rights groups to reverse harsh conditions imposed on Palestinian security prisoners after the outbreak of war. The petition was rejected without a hearing, leaving prisoners without judicial protection of their rights. Severe Prison Conditions: Prisoners face overcrowding, limited water, restricted access to daily yard time and showers, inadequate food, bans on purchasing essential items, Many prisoners have lost 20–40 kilograms due to insufficient food, Contact with family, lawyers, and external entities (e.g., ICRC) is severely restricted. Courts dismissed numerous prisoner petitions without thorough review, often citing procedural grounds. Some cases were dismissed due to prisoner transfers or releases, requiring new petitions for similar conditions in other facilities. State Promises Unmet: Despite State declarations allowing minimal yard time (1 hour) and short showers (15 minutes), implementation remains inconsistent. Essential hygiene products and adequate food remain insufficient in many cases. Supreme Court Appeals: HaMoked submitted multiple appeals, three of which were rejected.Justice Kabub noted potential for future petitions to challenge the Israel Prison Service’s (IPS) failure to meet obligations, signaling possible shifts in burden of proof. Source In its August 2024 report Welcome to Hell: The Israeli Prison System as a Network of Torture Camps' , the Israeli human rights organisation B'Tselem collects the testimonies of 55 released prisoners and relatives of inmates who point out the mistreatment to which Palestinian prisoners are subjected. (Archivist's clarification: the English spelling of Moazzaz Obayat's name varies enormously. Articles name him Moaz, Moiz, Muazzaz Moazzaz,.. and his surname is spelled Obayyat, Obayat, Obaiat, Abayat, Abayad.. We opted for the following spelling: Moazzaz Obayat). On October 2024, an article is released on Haaretz On November 20, 2024 Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur oPt : "Multiple reports appeared this year have revealed shocking facts and abuses at the Sde Teiman detention center, where Palestinians kidnapped in Gaza are held without charge/trial, reportedly mistreated, abused and even raped. Despite the serious allegations, in September the Israeli High Court of Justice ruled to keep Sde Teiman open, while instructing compliance with the Detainees' Rights Law (which does not stand int'l law scrutiny). Two important considerations: There is an urgent call for @ICRC, the European Union, and other officials to inspect any Israeli facilities where Palestinians are detained, reportedly mistreated/brutally abused and often killed. While the reported facts about the treatment of Palestinian detainees may qualify as war crimes & crimes against humanity under the Rome Statute, they should be considered holistically as part of the totality of conduct revealing the intent of a state to commit genocide . This is discussed in my recent report to the UN: Genocide as Colonial Erasure." On November 24 Hebrew newspaper Haaretz: A quarter of Palestinian prisoners have been infected with scabies in recent months following a widespread outbreak in occupation prisons. source On December 23, 2024 +972mag released the investigation article "‘My hands are paralyzed from torture’: Gazans reveal horrors of Ofer Camp" sheds light on the brutal conditions faced by Palestinian detainees at Israel’s Ofer Camp , a facility established during the ongoing conflict. Testimonies from detainees, shared with Israeli human rights group HaMoked, describe severe physical abuse, including regular beatings, electric shocks, and handcuffing for 24 hours a day. Detainees are subjected to forced kneeling, beatings, and electric shocks, with minimal food and hygiene. The camp, located in the West Bank, is home to Palestinians classified as “unlawful combatants” and is part of Israel's detention system for individuals accused of supporting terrorism. Lawyers report that detainees are often subjected to long periods of shackling and overcrowded cells, leading to significant health issues, including skin diseases and extreme weight loss. Many detainees, like Rami, are released without charges after enduring intense physical and psychological suffering. Despite Israeli claims that conditions comply with legal standards, testimonies highlight systemic torture and violation of detainees’ rights. One detainee, Rafiq, reported that his hands became paralyzed due to torture, and others suffer from severe physical and mental trauma. The conditions have drawn international concern, although media coverage of Ofer Camp remains limited. source

· Evidence Task (Telegram, Jun 2025)

new report by the UN Human Rights Offic e found that 70% of the martyrs in Gaza are women and children, in the six months between November 2023 and April 2024. 80% of the martyrs ascended in residential buildings, killed by American weapons . 44% of them were children, and 26% are women. The most represented age group was children between the ages of 5 and 9. The youngest verified martyr as a result of the IOF aggression was a one-day-old boy, while the oldest was a 97-year-old woman. The report also noted deliberate communications blackouts and bombing of communication infrastructure, targeting of journalists (making Gaza "the most dangerous place on earth for journalists "), mass displacement, attacks on educational sites, attacks (bombings and invasions) on hospitals—rendering them non-functional—among other crimes. In the last 400 days of genocide, 3,759 massacres have been carried out by the IOF, resulting in 53,508 martyrs and missing, including 17,000 children (786 under one year old), 12,000 females, 1,047 medical staff, 85 civil defense, and 185 journalists, as well as 37 martyrs by starvation. 1,206 Palestinian families have been erased from the civil registry. 85,500 tons of explosives have been dropped in the last year, equivalent to 7 nuclear bombs, or nearly 2 tons per martyr. Martyrs continue to ascend daily, particularly in the besieged northern Gaza Strip, amidst a lack of Civil Defense, medical care, and media coverage.

Amsterdam Police Chief Peter Holla confirms circulating footage indicating that it was the Israelis who instigated the disturbances [Original post] A video you won't see on most Western media, after they spent hours yesterday discussing what happened to the Israelis. Amsterdam Police Chief Peter Holla confirms circulating footage indicating that it was the Israelis who instigated the disturbances, by disturbing local residents, disrupting public order, removing flags from balconies and burning them, and damaging a taxi. [Tags: Baton, Symbols, Singing, Singing, Genocidal Intent, Incitement, Football, Lies, Dehumanization, Terror, Hasbara] [Found by: @AhmadAlgohbary] [Location: Amsterdam] [Archivist Notes] On NovembEr 7, in Amsterdam, the Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv played against the Dutch team Ajax in the Europa League. Some Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters and one of the players refused to observe a minute of silence during the match in tribute to the victims of the Valencia flood. In Amsterdam, Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters invaded the city for two days, chanting anti-Arab slogans under police protection and attacking Palestinian flags, they assaulted locals with planks and belts. They intimidated and threathened a young cameraman filming the scenes. When a Moroccan taxi driver was assaulted by Maccabi supporters, a large group of his colleagues and friends decided to chase the Maccabi supporters through the city. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu uses the "Deny Aggressor and Reverse Victim-Offender" (DARVO) narrative to transform this confrontation into an "antisemitic pogrom" against Jews. Some supporters in Amsterdam were IDF reservist soldiers who had served this past year in Gaza, the West Bank, or Lebanon, during the ongoing genocide. The British newspaper Daily Mail, through its correspondents in Amsterdam, criticized the Israeli supporters for their provocations and held them responsible. Eyewitness footage shows the supporters wielding belts and pieces of wooden slats, which were allegedly taken from nearby structures, and launching heavy fireworks. The situation escalated near Amsterdam Centraal station, where some individuals were reportedly chased and forced to the ground. In addition to incidents recorded near the station, other videos show Maccabi supporters displaying anti-Arab and racist slogans and pulling down a Palestinian flag prior to the match. Amsterdam Police confirmed that they are utilizing video evidence from multiple sources, including public street cameras, doorbell recordings, witness accounts, and media footage. [Tags: Nature, Looting, Settlement, Soldiers and Settlers, Baton, Agriculture, Living conditions, Impunity, Property, Land theft, Apartheid] [Location: West Bank] [Archivist Notes] This morning, landowners returned to their orchards in Umm Nir to continue the olive harvest that had been interrupted the day before. This time, Shmuel Lusky and another settler from the illegal outpost of Ancient Susya arrived at the scene, attempting to steal the harvested olives and assaulting the harvesters When the army arrived, the soldiers initially tried to expel the harvesters while allowing the settlers to remain on the private lands. After police intervention and the issuance of a closed military zone order, everyone was required to leave the area—both the landowners and the attackers. Some solidarity activists present at the scene were detained but eventually released. All this happened while Shem Tov was attacking the activists and harvesters with the support of "security forces." Nothing new under the sun—the settlers, the army, and the police are one and the same.

The soldiers in the field ignored this, continued to push the musketeers out of the field and threatened some activity with detention. 3/3 The Civil Administration publishes maps that mark plantations that require coordination for access with the military. But of course, even if you tried to coordinate access to the land and you were told that this coordination is not necessary and that access is authorized, upon your arrival, dozens of armed men serving the diet will jump out at you. and expel you on the grounds that you did not coordinate.
