Alongside these conditions, Zaghloul and thousands of prisoners in occupation prisons face unprecedented levels of torture, mistreatment, starvation, and systematic medical neglect, which have contributed to the deaths of dozens of detainees within occupation prisons and camps. The Commission and Club also noted the occupation’s escalation of administrative detentions, which have seen a significant increase, with the number of administrative detainees reaching over 3,443 as of the beginning of this month, including dozens of children and women. All are subject to sham trials under the pretext of a “secret file.” The military courts serve as a primary tool to uphold the crime of administrative detention, with hundreds of these detainees suffering from illnesses, and the vast majority are former prisoners who have spent years in "israeli" prisons. The occupation continues daily arrest campaigns in the West Bank, with more than 11,600 detentions to date, accompanied by systematic mistreatment and torture of detainees and their families. The occupation has not spared the sick, wounded, or elderly in these arrest campaigns.
