Jenin: They broke our streets, but won't break our determination [Original post] Journalist Sodai Rayan conveys the voices of the Palestinians in Jenin during the extensive incursion of the Israeli occupation army, deliberately causing significant destruction to the infrastructure. The operation focuses on Jenin, with simultaneous actions in other cities like Tubas, Nablus, Ramallah, and Tulkarem. Israel justifies the operation as a fight against Palestinian resistance groups like the Jenin Brigades. Civilian Infrastructure Destroyed: Israeli forces heavily damaged civilian infrastructure in Jenin refugee camp, described as a form of collective punishment.Bulldozers and armored vehicles destroyed homes, streets, and markets. 70% of camp streets and surrounding areas were bulldozed. The refugee camp has been turned into a battlefield, forcing residents to stay indoors. Siege on Jenin: The siege blocked access to essential resources like water, food, and medicine. Civilians, including children, the elderly, and the chronically ill, have been trapped inside without help. Some women and children managed to escape at gunpoint, while men and boys were detained. Mass Arrests and Human Rights Violations: Israeli forces carried out mass arrests of men and boys, including 72-year-old Khayriyeh Khrayneh’s family members. Her husband (a diabetic) and eldest son (a cancer patient) were arrested despite needing medical care. Eyewitnesses described brutal tactics: Palestinian detainees were used as human shields, and attack dogs were unleashed on families. Journalists and media correspondants are systematically threatened by Israeli vehicles or reckless shooting. Blocking Medical Access: Ambulances were denied entry to the camp, and paramedics were shot at, preventing the retrieval of bodies. The main hospital in Jenin was put under lockdown by Israeli Border Police, turning the surrounding area into a "closed military zone." Even when ambulances were allowed through, they were stopped, and patients were forced to show ID before being admitted. Deaths and Casualties: At least 19 Palestinians were killed in Jenin during the siege, including minors. An 83-year-old man, Tawfiq Qandeel, was shot by Israeli forces and left to die without medical help. His body was later run over by military vehicles. Three Palestinian children were killed when their vespa was bombed while delivering bread to the residents of Jenin. Since October 2023, nearly 700 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, with 185 in Jenin alone. Brutality of Military Tactics: The operation in Jenin involved anti-tank rifle grenades destroying civilian infrastructure, sporadic gunfire, and drones flying overhead (likely for surveillance or attacks). Civilians described widespread fear and destruction, with Israeli soldiers using homes as military outposts and placing snipers on rooftops. Worsening Humanitarian Crisis: The Israeli military siege left Jenin and nearby cities under curfew, with road closures and checkpoints stifling movement for both residents and journalists. Palestinians were unable to access basic necessities like flour and baby food due to the complete lockdown of the city. Medical staff, such as nurses, reported being unable to go home for days due to the danger posed by the military operation. Israeli Justification: Israeli military leadership stated their intention to target Palestinian armed resistance, stating they would move "from city to city, refugee camp to refugee camp." But despite their claims of targeting militants, the majority of the casualties were civilians, deepening resentment among the Palestinian population and increasing support for resistance groups. Collective Punishment and Civilian Displacement: Civilians in Jenin reported feeling that the military operations were designed to push them out of their homes . Jenin’s residents are increasingly describing the siege as an effort to depopulate the area . Residents drew comparisons between the treatment of Jenin and Gaza, seeing the same tactics of displacement and destruction being used in both regions. Source :

At first they were all together in Jenin covering the demolition of the infrastructure by the D9s. Then they were targeted by bulldozers and gunfire. The group, very large, was probably divided into two. One was stuck in a store for 20 minutes, a D9 trying to crush them and attacking the window. The other was targeted by 4 or 5 D9s and heavy gunfire. The both groups fled to the cars and there, they were targeted by shooters (bullets) probably snipers. In Mansour's car, they were all injured (directly or by fragments): Muhammad Sawafta (cameraman), Mujahid Al-Saadi, Mohamed Mansour, Ayman Al-Nubani, except Khalaf. Who himself, would have been injured later while covering another event, near a house that was being demolished. It seems that Shatha Hanysha and Yazan Hamayel were toghether when they both (and maybe others) were injured too. Shatah by fragments in the leg.

Soldiers take turns shooting at civilians while besieging Thabet hospital [Original post] Watch | Despite no resistance in the area, Israeli occupation soldiers take turns shooting at Palestinian civilians while besieging Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarm. [Tags: Devastation, Soldiers and Settlers, Caterpillar D9, Raid, Sniper Rifle, Bulldozer, Living conditions, Infrastructure, Urbicide, Terror, Property, Armored vehicle, Drone strike, Artillery shelling, Siege] [Found by: Quds News Network] [Location: West Bank > Tulkarm > Thabet Hospital] [Archivist Notes] Tulkarm or Tulkarem (Arabic: طولكرم, Ṭūlkarm) is a Palestinian city in the West Bank, the capital of the Tulkarm Governorate of the State of Palestine : Tulkarm came under Israeli occupation following the Six-Day War. Israeli Civil Administration took control of Tulkarm from the military government. : After the Oslo Accords, control of Tulkarm was transferred to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) on December 10, becoming the third city from which Israeli forces withdrew. Early 2000s : During the Second Intifada, Israel temporarily reoccupied Tulkarm : Israeli military administration ended, and control of Tulkarm was returned to the PNA , which imposed new weapons restrictions on militants. October 19, 2023 : The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) re-entered Tulkarm. Israel carries out very frequent raids there and the agricultural lands are subject to frequent attacks by settlers and soldiers. Since August 28, 2024 , Israel has launched a large-scale offensive on various cities in the northern West Bank, called "Operation Summer Camp" What is Israel Doing to Palestinians in Tulkarm? Frequent Israeli Raids: Tulkarm, a city and refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, faces near-daily Israeli raids . Israel claims these operations target militants, particularly from Hamas’ military wing, the Qassam Brigades. However, these raids involve significant destruction of civilian infrastructure. Destruction of Homes and Infrastructure: During the raids, Israeli forces deploy bulldozers to destroy large residential areas, schools, and hospitals . Homes are set on fire, and Israeli troops reportedly prevent local relief workers from extinguishing these blazes. Collective Punishment Tactics: This destruction aims to collectively punish the population, according to experts, in response to pockets of armed resistance against the Israeli occupation. Following the Activist Shadi Abdullah , who documents Israeli abuses, Israeli forces used to demolish homes intentionally cut off basic necessities such as water and electricity. Israeli soldiers cooperate with illegal settlers to attack civilians, adding to the fear and hardship faced by Palestinians in Tulkarm. Civilian Impact: Civilians in Tulkarm are constantly at risk from both Israeli forces and settlers, as the city lies between several Israeli settlements. The destruction of residential areas forces Palestinians into overcrowded, remaining safe zones, further increasing the already high population density due to previous displacements. Strategic Importance of Tulkarm: Tulkarm holds strategic value for its fertile agricultural land and access to natural water resources. However, the illegal Israeli settlements have appropriated much of this land, forcing Palestinian farmers to rely on expensive tanker water and rainwater collection systems. Role of Drones and Heavy Weaponry: Drones play a key role in Israeli raids, providing air cover and targeting Palestinian fighters. Israel has used drones extensively in other West Bank cities like Jenin and Nur Shams, where they killed several Palestinians in July, Augustus and September, since the beginning of "Operation Summer Camp" Israel’s use of drones, bulldozers, and heavy military equipment is part of a broader strategy to instill fear in younger generations and suppress armed resistance. However, this tactic has not succeeded in demoralizing the civilian population, who continue to support the resistance movement as part of the broader struggle against Israeli occupation.

Wafa photographer Ayman Al-Nubani told The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate that Israeli forces “directly targeted” seven journalists with live fire, journalists who were riding in three press vehicles and wearing press protection vests “We narrowly escaped death,” Al-Nubani explained. “If we hadn’t sped up a bit in our car, they would have killed us. It was a direct assassination attempt.” • The photographer said he and his colleagues – Wafa photographer Mohammed Mansour, Raneen Sawafta with the Reuters news agency and freelance journalist Yazan Hamayel – were injured during the incident. Another reported name of injured journalist during the raid is Mujahid Al-Saadi. Journalist Raneen Sawafta, a cameraman, was injured by an Israeli bullet, and three of his colleagues were injured by fragments during the raid in Kafr Dan, Jenin. • Al-Nubani added: “Ambulances arrived immediately, and we were transferred to Ibn Sina Governmental Hospital in Jenin, but [Israeli] forces intercepted us and obstructed the ambulances, … surrounding the hospital [and] subjecting us to an investigation while we were injured.” • The incident has caused widespread outrage and concern among media professionals and human rights advocates worldwide. Additional Incident: • Jaraah Khalaf, one of the injured journalists, reported that he and other reporters were covering an Israeli siege on a house in Kafr Dan, near Jenin, when they came under direct Israeli fire. Khalaf emphasized that all journalists were clearly identified, wearing vests labeled with "PRESS" in English, and their vehicles also carried the same insignia. According to witnesses, Israeli army forces raided the town early Tuesday, besieging a house and demanding its occupants surrender via loudspeakers. The house was subsequently demolished by Israeli military bulldozers, with the Health Ministry reporting that a child and another Palestinian were injured during the raid. Wider Targeting of Journalists: • According to live footage, Israeli soldiers used machine guns, bulldozers, and grenades to target journalists in various locations, including Jenin, Nablus, and Kafr Dan. • On September more than 5 journalists, including Jarah Kalaf, a freelance Journalist, were injured by Israeli army fire in the West Bank. • An Israeli soldier opened fire at Palestinian journalists whilst they were covering the invasion of the occupation forces in Thenaba neighborhood in Tulkarm city. • On 3 September, The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate says Israeli forces are targeting journalists with live bullets in the town of Kfar Dan, west of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank, reports the Wafa news agency. Medical Response: • The Red Crescent reported that several Palestinian journalists were injured on Tuesday by Israeli military fire in Kafr Dan. • While two of the injured journalists were treated on the spot by company doctors, the other two were taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Bombed house in Jenin [Original post] Israeli occupation forces bombed the home of a Palestinian family in Jenin. [Tags: Homes, Fire, Roads, Raid, Water, Blocking Ambulances, Blocking Aid, Starvation, Living conditions, Infrastructure, Unlawful detention, Terror, Dehydration, Healthcare System, Siege] [Found by: Gaza Notifications] [Location: West Bank > Jenin] [Archivist Notes] Jenin Siege during "Operation Summer Camp": Launched on Aug. 28, 2024, by Israel, it is the largest military invasion in the northern West Bank in over two decades. Source :

Jenin IDF raid Day 5: continued destruction of infrastructure [Original post] For the 5th consecutive day, the Israeli occupation forces continue the destruction of streets and infrastructure in Jenin city. [Tags: Roads, Raid, Water, Blocking Ambulances, Blocking Aid, Bulldozer, Starvation, Living conditions, Infrastructure, Unlawful detention, Terror, Dehydration, Healthcare System, Siege] [Found by: Eye on Palestine, @PalpostN] [Location: West Bank > Jenin] [Archivist Notes] Jenin Siege during "Operation Summer Camp": Launched on Aug. 28, 2024, by Israel, it is the largest military invasion in the northern West Bank in over two decades. Source :

Polio vaccination in Central Gaza [Original post] 📹 فيديو صفا| بدء التطعيم ضد شلل الأطفال وسط قطاع غزة [Tags: Hospitals, Water, Blocking Aid, Local Governance, Sanitation, Water, Epidemic, Infrastructure, Healthcare System] [Found by: @SafaPs] [Location: Gaza > North Gaza > Southern Gaza > Central Gaza] [Archivist Notes] Safa video| The start of vaccination against polio in the central Gaza Strip Polio is highly contagious and transmits mainly through contact with contaminated feces, water or food. It can cause difficulty breathing and irreversible paralysis, usually in the legs. It strikes young children in particular and is sometimes fatal. -June 19 : Gaza’s Ministry of Health said it had detected “component poliovirus type 2” in coordination with UNICEF, the United Nations children’s agency End of July : The World Health Organization is “extremely worried” about the possibility of an outbreak of the highly infectious polio virus in Gaza after traces were found in wastewater. Immunisation rates in Gaza and the occupied West Bank were optimal before the conflict. Polio vaccine coverage was estimated at 99% in 2022, although it had declined to 89% last year, according to the latest data. the “decimation” of Gaza health system - with only 16 out of the territory's 36 hospitals partially functional - as well as the "lack of security, access obstruction, constant population displacement, shortages of medical supplies, poor quality of water and weakened sanitation" have contributed to reduce immunisation rates and increase the risk of diseases spreading. According to the WHO, a 10-month-old baby had been paralysed by the type-2 strand of the virus - the first case in Gaza in 25 years. Augustus 29 : Israel and Hamas have agreed to brief ceasefires in parts of Gaza to allow the safe distribution of the polio vaccine, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). These pauses will begin Sunday and occur in three phases: central Gaza first, then the south, and finally the north. Each pause will last three days, from 6am to 3pm, and may extend to a fourth day if necessary. Vaccination Campaign: The WHO and partners are launching a campaign to vaccinate 640,000 children in Gaza against polio, despite the ongoing war and damaged healthcare system. Timeline: A three-day campaign will start Sunday in central Gaza during a "humanitarian pause" from 6am to 3pm, with potential extensions. It will later move to southern and northern Gaza during similar pauses. Vaccination Sites: Around 160 sites, including medical centers, hospitals, and schools, are designated for vaccinations, mainly in Khan Younis and Deir el-Balah. Challenges: Significant obstacles include damaged infrastructure—65% of roads are affected and 19 of 36 hospitals are out of service. Security concerns have also halted aid group movements.

Testimony of brave elder Palestinian risking his life to bring milk and bread to families besieged in Jenin [Original post] (EXCLUSIVE) FPTV's Obada Tahayne finds the brave elder Adel Ighbareah, risking his life to bring milk and bread to families besieged in Jenin for 5 days since its invasion by the Zionist military. Occupied West Bank of Palestine. Filmed: 01/09/2024 Donate: https://FreePalestine.Video Watch on RU: https://rumble.com/v5dba5m Watch on YT: https://youtu.be/jKUGh3sFXws [Tags: Roads, Raid, Water, Blocking Ambulances, Sniper Rifle, Palestine Voices, Blocking Aid, Starvation, Living conditions, Infrastructure, Unlawful detention, Dehumanization, Terror, Dehydration, Healthcare System, Families, Sumud, Siege] [Found by: TVFreePalestine] [Location: West Bank > Jenin] [Archivist Notes] Jenin Siege during "Operation Summer Camp": Launched on Aug. 28, 2024, by Israel, it is the largest military invasion in the northern West Bank in over two decades. Source :
