Before the war, children in such conditions, even when reaching a critical stage, did not deteriorate to this extent of emaciation and malnutrition that turns their bodies into skeletons. The death of baby Ghadeer Barika (5 months old) in Nasser Medical Complex, after suffering from severe malnutrition. Since birth, she had been suffering from atrophy, encephalopathy, and cerebral palsy, but the lack of food and the necessary treatments exacerbated her health condition until it deteriorated significantly, especially since her mother also suffered from malnutrition.
