Social activist LOVES when police arrests genocide protesters [Original post] Mor Sha'al - a "social activist" in the service of genocide Every week Palestinian and Jewish activists try to hold a protest in Haifa in solidarity with Gaza and against the genocide. Every week they are being dispersed violently by the Haifa Police. Many times they also face a "counter protest" of rabid Judeo-Nazis calling "Death to Terrorists!". Mor Sha'al is sort of a social media "influencer", who got famous by documenting local homeless people as she is talking with them. Sometimes without their consent. She tries to paint herself as an activist for the homeless, even though some, at least in the early days of her "initiative", accused her of using the homeless as a mean to get "likes" and promote herself. In recent months, Sha'al regularly joins the fascist counter-protests in Haifa, but instead of just chanting with her racist friends across the street, she goes into the crowd of anti-genocide protesters, films them without their consent, heckles and harasses them. Then she cheers as they get arrested (this always happens very fast in Haifa, sometimes before the protest even starts). Afterwards she uses the videos to try to "out" and publicly shame the anti-genocide activists. I translated one of her videos from a few weeks ago. “The Moment Ahmad Raised His Hands in Surrender, an Israeli Soldier Shot Him Directly in the Head” The Guardian reports that Palestinian aid truck driver Ahmad Esleem was shot dead by an Israeli soldier while transporting humanitarian aid into Gaza, in a field execution. Esleem, who was delivering food for World Central Kitchen (WCK) through a fully coordinated humanitarian convoy, was ordered out of his truck after one vehicle broke down near the Philadelphi Corridor. Witnesses say Israeli soldiers forced the drivers to strip, assaulted them, and made them stand under the sun. As Ahmad Esleem raised his hands in surrender, an Israeli soldier shot him directly in the head. The 30-year-old, a father of two children, including a one-month-old baby, was killed despite wearing official identification, carrying all required permits, and operating under coordination approved by the Israeli military, according to his employer and Gaza’s truckers association.

According to Gaza's Government Media Office, more than 21,500 children, including 1,022 infants, have been killed since the war began on 7 October 2023, as the genocide reached its 1,000th day. The office said the total Palestinian death toll has risen to 73,066, with 173,514 people injured and around 9,500 still missing under the rubble. It also reported that over 90% of Gaza's buildings have been damaged or destroyed and that about 80% of the territory is under Israeli occupation. Separately, UNICEF said more than 11,000 children have sustained life-changing injuries, including up to 4,000 amputations, many performed under extremely challenging medical conditions.

During the Israeli genocide, Palestinian bodybuilder Mohammed Odeh from Jabalia refugee camp lost his four children in an Israeli airstrike that hit the apartment where they were sheltering. Odeh had left moments earlier to fetch water for his family when the strike hit, killing all four children instantly and critically injuring his wife. Months after the tragedy, Odeh and his wife welcomed a new baby, a moment that brought a glimmer of hope and marked a new beginning for the family.

A Palestinian family in Tubas was informed that their son, Majdi Nour Abu Arra, was killed in an Israeli drone strike in December 2024, ending 18 months of uncertainty during which his fate was kept undisclosed by Israeli authorities. The strike had targeted a vehicle he was traveling in, killing two others and injuring another who was later detained after being treated in hospital.
