· Evidence Task (Dec 2025-Jul 2026)

UNICEF described the Gaza Strip ceasefire as a “deadly illusion” for Palestinian children, saying that Israeli attacks have continued despite the truce announced in October 2025. According to UNICEF spokesperson James Elder, at least 265 Palestinian children have been killed and more than 400 injured since the ceasefire began, most of them in airstrikes, bombings, or drone attacks. UNICEF warned that hundreds of wounded children urgently need medical evacuation and treatment amid shortages of medicines and medical resources. The agency called on the international community to strengthen protections for civilians, especially children, and ensure safe access to healthcare and humanitarian aid in Gaza Strip.

· Evidence Task (Dec 2025-Jul 2026)

Israel is dumping and burning waste in the occupied West Bank near Palestinian towns, in a practice described as environmental colonialism. The practice has raised growing concerns about the health risks facing Palestinians as cancer rates rise, children are born with congenital birth defects, and Palestinian workers are injured while handling hazardous materials. Dr. Muhammed Jamil Farajallah, an internal medicine and cardiology specialist at Hebron Governmental Hospital, said he has observed a doubling of cancer cases over the past two decades, particularly lung and bladder cancers. He added that "high levels of toxic lead seeping into the soil, along with emissions from waste burning that spread through the air, including carbon monoxide, have all contributed to cancers affecting the lungs, bladder, bones, brain, and blood.”

NEW | 1,000 Palestinians Killed After Gaza ‘Ceasefire’ as Israel Deepens Occupation and Humanitarian Catastrophe More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the US-brokered ceasefire was announced in October, exposing the gap between promises of calm and the reality on the ground. Israeli attacks continued across the besieged strip, claiming at least 1,005 Palestinian lives. Israel has also expanded its occupation in Gaza to 64% of the Strip, while displacement, destruction, and forced evacuations persist. The anticipated second phase of the agreement, which was supposed to include an Israeli withdrawal, has yet to materialize. The humanitarian crisis continues to worsen. Gaza’s healthcare system remains on the brink of collapse, with only 20 of 37 hospitals partially functioning and no fully operational hospital remaining. Aid access remains severely restricted, reconstruction has not begun, and nearly 1.9 million Palestinians remain displaced.

NEW | From Gaza to Lebanon: Israeli Drones Turn Children’s Cries Into Weapons of War Residents and first responders in southern Lebanon report that Israeli quadcopter drones are broadcasting the sounds of crying children, pleading women, sirens, and religious recitations in a psychological warfare campaign designed to lure civilians from their homes. According to local testimonies to MEE, the recordings are played during the night to exploit human empathy, drawing residents into the open where they can be identified or targeted. Others report receiving personalized threats broadcast from drones, including accusations and intimidation aimed at forcing displacement and isolating community figures. As civilians continue to endure bombardment and displacement, residents say the battlefield has expanded beyond airstrikes and military attacks to include psychological tactics that seek to spread fear, break community ties, and drive people from their homes.

NEW | In an interview with AlJazeera, Hamas Gaza leader Dr. Khalil al-Hayya said: Israeli attacks across Gaza, including a strike in al-Daraj neighborhood that killed Hamza al-Sherbasi and injured several others, reflect a continued campaign of aggression targeting civilians and Palestinian leadership. He stressed that the attacks are part of ongoing pressure tactics by Israel to impose outcomes through “killing and terror,” adding that all Palestinians are being targeted, regardless of status, and that such actions will not break the people’s will. Al-Hayya stated that Israel has repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement, noting that more than 850 Palestinians have been killed over months alongside continued blockade, starvation, and restrictions on aid, which he said have stalled negotiations.

Exclusive | QNN Speaks to the Family of Gaza Mother and Daughter Last Seen in Israeli Detention “We just want to know where they are. Are they alive? Are they dead?” An investigation by QNN has revealed the identities and final known moments of two Palestinian women: 75-year-old Aisha Bakr al-Aqqad and her daughter Huda, who were filmed blindfolded inside an Israeli military vehicle during the genocide in Gaza, before disappearing without a trace. According to family testimonies, Israeli forces stormed their home in Khan Younis after the women chose not to flee, believing their area would remain safe. During the raid, soldiers killed Aisha’s husband inside the house and detained their son Iyad. “Iyad told the lawyer that Israeli soldiers killed his father and arrested him,” a relative said. The family says they have received no information since. Attempts to locate them through the Red Cross yielded nothing, leaving their fate unknown as fears grow for Aisha, who was already in fragile health.

In Batn al-Hawa, dozens of families have been forced out, with many more, including children, facing imminent expulsion.
